RICHMOND, Va. – Junior middle blocker Jasmin Sneed (San Antonio, Texas) continued to amass awards, while freshman libero Alyna Draper (Phoenix, Ariz.) was honored for the first time by the Atlantic 10 Conference Monday.

Sneed received her fourth A-10 Defensive Player of the Week award – her second consecutive – after she led the Rams to a pair of league road victories over the weekend. The 6-foot-1 middle averaged 2.43 blocks and 2.43 digs per set, while hitting .412, as VCU topped Rhode Island and Fordham. In Friday's 3-1 triumph at URI, Sneed racked up a career-best 12 blocks.

Meanwhile, Draper scooped up 32 digs in two matches for VCU. She dug 17 balls Friday at Rhode Island and added 15 more in just three sets when the Rams swept Fordham on Sunday. Draper averaged 4.57 digs per set. She also served up four aces.

VCU, which has won 10 straight matches, plays host to Dayton on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the E.J. Wade Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center in match between the A-10's two top teams.
