  • Today's win marked the fourth consecutive victory for the Rams, who have also won 10 of their last 11 matches, and pushed them to 9-1 in conference play this season.
  • VCU's 14 victories this season are their most since 2004, coming up just one win shy of tying the school record for most wins in a season.

  • The Rams started the match aggressively when Samantha Jerabek recorded the first shot of the game in the 4th minute of play. Her header came on a cross from Susanna Friedrichs but was just high and hit the post.
  • Kershner scored the first goal of the match in the 29th minute. The chance came after Kershner intercepted a La Salle pass and weaved through the defense to shoot from just outside the 18 yard box. Her attempt found the back of the net, just sneaking into the bottom right corner.
  • La Salle's Camaren Cox tied the game at 1-1 with her header goal in the 34th minute.
  • Just five minutes later, Kershner might have made the play of the day when she scored on a diving header from just inside the box. The goal put VCU back on top 2-1 late in the second half. Lohrmann and Megan Enos both earned assists on the play.
  • The Rams scored their third goal of the day when CiCi Fox successfully converted a penalty after being fouled in the box. The goal extended VCU's lead to 3-1 in the 48th minute.
