RICHMOND, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its women's basketball conference schedule Thursday afternoon. The Rams' schedule is highlighted by a nationally televised game against defending league champion Dayton (Feb. 4) on CBS Sports Network.

VCU opens conference play at Saint Joseph's on Dec. 31 followed by its A-10 home opener against George Washington (Jan. 3). VCU will host Duquesne (Jan. 7) then travel to face Rhode Island (Jan. 10) before hosting Fordham (Jan. 14). The Rams will then travel for consecutive road matches at Massachusetts (Jan. 21) and La Salle (Jan. 25). VCU beat both UMass and La Salle last season.

VCU will face rival Richmond (Jan. 28) and Saint Joseph's (Jan. 31) as part of a two-game homestand. VCU beat Richmond in all three matchups last season, two in the regular season and one in the conference tournament.

The Rams will then be on national television as they travel to face reigning A-10 Champion Dayton (Feb. 4) on CBS Sports Network before heading to Duquesne (Feb. 7).

St. Bonaventure (Feb. 11) and George Mason (Feb. 15) will both travel to Richmond to face VCU as the Rams play three of their final five A-10 matches at home.

VCU will have its rematch with the Spiders at Richmond (Feb. 18) before playing its final home game against Saint Louis (Feb. 21).

The Rams close out the regular season at Davidson (Feb. 24). The 2018 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will feature six first-round games being played on campus sites on Tuesday, Feb. 27 before heading to Richmond, Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4 for the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship final games.
