The Short Story: With the Rams leading 13-12 halfway through the first quarter, VCU closed the stanza on a 6-0 run to take a 19-12 lead. The Rams seized control of the game from that point forward and pulled away, leading by as many as 24 points halfway through the fourth quarter.



  • Four Rams finished scoring in double figures, led by GG Goodhope who had 13 points.
  • Mooriah Rowser had 11 points, Katherine Strong had a career-high 10 points and Isis Thorpe added 10 points.
  • Curteeona Brelove had nine points and seven rebounds.
  • Keira Robinson also added nine points and four rebounds.

  • VCU opened up the game on a 7-2 run that was capped off by a Robinson 3-pointer.
  • Furman closed the deficit and tied the game at 9-9 with seven minutes left in the first quarter.
  • The two teams battled back and forth with VCU holding a 13-12 lead with 3:12 remaining in the first quarter before the Rams went on a 6-0 run to end the quarter leading 19-12.
  • VCU pulled away against before the Paladins closed the gap again to seven points two more in the second quarter but the Rams outscored Furman 8-0 and led 40-26 at the halftime.
  • Out of the break, Furman used a quick 6-0 spurt to get back within 41-32 with 8:17 left in the third quarter.
