Hurt turned in perhaps the greatest season in VCU history in 2010-11, leading the nation in rebounding (12.4 rpg) and double-doubles (25), while ranking second in the NCAA in scoring (23.2 ppg). She set seven program records and three CAA marks to go along with honorable mention Associated Press All-America accolades.
Following her breakout junior campaign, Hurt was invited to attend the 2011 USA World University Games Women’s Basketball Team Trials in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was also named to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Top 30 list (first player in VCU history), which represents the nation’s best women’s basketball players.
Hurt became the fastest player (27 games) to set the program’s single season scoring record (720 points). In 2010-11, she was also one of 17 players in NCAA history to post 25 or more double-doubles in one season.

2009-10 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Was a third team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection, while also being named to the CAA All-Academic Team... Averaged 13.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per outing
Began the season as a reserve but was in the starting lineup in 20 of the final 21 games, averaging 29.7 minutes per contest
Finished with a team-high 27 blocks, while collecting 43 steals... Posted a team-high 10 double-doubles
Scored in double figures in 25 of VCU’s final 28 games
In her first start as a Ram, she poured in 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against Towson (1/10/10)
Scored a career-high 29 points at St. Joseph’s in the opening round of the Postseason WNIT and followed that performance with 27 points against Hofstra in the second round
Scored 21 points and provided a career-best 14 rebounds against William & Mary (1/17/10)... Also contributed 21 points and 12 boards against Drexel (2/14/10)
Scored a game-high tying 16 points in VCU’s season opening win against Virginia Tech
2008-09 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
Saw action in 31 games, averaging 12.8 minutes per outing off the bench during her rookie campaign
Made an immediate impact on the court, finishing second on the team with 12 blocks, while registering 25 steals
After averaging just 2.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in non-conference games, she burst onto the Colonial Athletic Association scene with 5.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in conference contests
Registered two points, five rebounds, a pair of steals and one block in 18 minutes of action against Rutgers in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament
Tallied a career-high 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting in a key road victory at Towson (2/12/09) and followed that performance with a career-best 11 rebounds in 26 minutes in a home win against James Madison (2/15/09)
Notched a career-high eight rebounds and contributed her first career blocked shot in just 12 minutes of action against Morgan State (12/15/09)
PRIOR TO VCU
Averaged 27.3 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game for Salem High School during her senior season.
Was nominated for Georgia Player of the Year and was named First Team All-State
Played club basketball with AAU national power the Georgia Metros, the same club that former VCU teammates D’Andra Moss and Kita Waller played for while in high school.
