NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – VCU Women's Tennis had three players honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference, including Janina Braun, who was named the Most Outstanding Performer. Braun, a sophomore from Berlin, Germany, and fellow classmate Anna Rasmussen were both named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team. Senior Darya Berezhnaya represented The Black and Gold on the Second Team as well.

Braun led the Rams with a team-best 25-7 overall record, and finished the spring season with a 19-4 dual record. She is now 41-11 in singles play throughout the course of two seasons. Braun was undefeated in conference play in singles and doubles. 
Along with her dominant play on the court, Braun has been extremely successful in the classroom, and was named to the All-Academic Team. Braun, who is working towards a degree in Business, has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her college career, and has been named to the Dean's List, Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

Rasmussen also received recognition on the First Team. The Holte, Denmark native finished the season with the second most wins on the team, with 21. After two seasons, she now holds a 39-17 singles record. 

For the third consecutive year, Berezhnaya was named to the A-10 Second Team. The senior finished the year with a career-best 20-9 singles record, to improve to 42-34 on the singles court as a Ram.
