RICHMOND, Va. – Three VCU players were named to All-Atlantic 10 Conference lacrosse teams, while the Rams' Jen O'Brien has been selected Co-Coach of the Year, the league announced Wednesday.

Redshirt juniors Sky Hyatt (Eldersburg, Md.) and Molly Barcikowski (Sykesville, Md.) were named All-Atlantic 10 Second Team. Hyatt and senior Kelley Flint (Ashburn, Va.) also received All-Academic Team honors.

O'Brien, who shares the Coach of the Year honor with Richmond's Allison Kwolek, has built the VCU program from the ground up. The Eldersburg, Md. native signed the program's first recruiting class four years ago. VCU won three games in its first Division I season in 2016 and improved to seven victories in Year Two.

This season, VCU (7-10) recorded its first winning record in A-10 play (5-4) and earned the program's first berth to the league's conference tournament. On April 22, O'Brien's squad stunned UMass 17-16 in overtime, which snapped the Minutewomen's 61-game win streak in Atlantic 10 contests.

Hyatt garnered All-Atlantic 10 honors for the third straight year. She was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2016 and was selected All-Conference First Team last season as a sophomore. Hyatt, a midfielder, has scored a program-record 50 goals this season, which ranks fourth in the league. She has also produced a team-best 57 points and 79 draw controls. Earlier this season, Hyatt became the first player in the three-year history of the program to reach 100 career goals.

A business major with a concentration in risk management and insurance, Hyatt also received a spot on the All-Academic Team for the second straight year. She carries a 3.7 GPA and has received six Dean's List citations.

An attacker, Barcikowski joins Hyatt on second team following a regular season in which she produced 32 goals, second-most by a Ram, as well as a team-leading 23 assists. Her 55 points are second only on the team to Hyatt. This is Barcikowski's second All-Atlantic 10 award. She was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2016.

Flint, a defender, is set to receive her degree in mass communications, with a concentration in journalism and a minor in environmental studies, later this month. Flint owns a 3.9 cumulative GPA.  A three-year starter, she's scooped up 21 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers this season.

Led by O'Brien and their All-Conference honorees, the fourth-seeded Rams will open A-10 Tournament play against Davidson on Thursday, May 3 at 11:30 a.m. at Robins Stadium on the campus of crosstown rival Richmond.
