NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – VCU Women's Lacrosse had three players honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference as Sky Hyatt was named All-Atlantic 10 First Team while Keriann McTavish was named to the All-Rookie Team. Olivia McGrath was named to the All-Academic Team along with Hyatt.
Hyatt, a redshirt sophomore midfielder, led the team with 44 goals scored and a team-high 63 points. She led the team with 49 ground balls and 36 draw controls. Hyatt also added 19 assists which ranked third on the squad. Hyatt was named the A-10 Co-Player of the Week on April 18 after scoring 11 goals and adding three assists. She also had nine draw controls, six caused turnovers and and two grounds balls in two games. Hyatt also earned A-10 All-Academic Team Honors as she holds a 3.60 GPA with a major in business.
McTavish was named to the All-Rookie Team after scoring 34 goals and adding a team-high 26 assists. She also had 19 draw controls and 10 ground balls. McTavish was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week on March 28 after scoring a career-high six goals on eight shot attempts and added two assists in the Rams' win over Liberty. McTavish surpassed her previous career-high of three goals and went 2-2 on free position attempts during the game.
McGrath was named to the A-10 All-Academic Team as the sophomore midfielder currently holds a 3.92 GPA with a major in business. McGrath has made the Dean's List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester at VCU. She ranked fourth on the team in both draw controls and ground balls with 20 and 18, respectfully.
